Enjoying Fitness in the Fall
by Rachel Keller
With the approach of autumn, the weather gets cooler
and the days grow shorter. Less sunlight often means less time and
less enthusiasm for fitness. But your fitness habits do not need to
fall away as do the colorful leaves of the season.
Cool, crisp mornings replace the hot sweltering days of summer.
Instead of hibernating away until next spring, take some extra time
to enjoy the wonderful beauty of nature in the fall.
If you've been neglecting your fitness routine, don't wait until
the new year to start over. Take a few minutes each day to stroll
through your neighborhood or a nearby park. Notice the beautiful changes
occurring in nature.
Early morning sunrises reflect an indescribable beauty on brightly
colored trees. The warm rays appear as a blazing fire on trees covered
with red or orange leaves. What a wonderful way to start your day!
Autumn is my favorite season for running. I love the cooler mornings
and the changing colors. Morning sunrises in the fall are breathtakingly
spectacular. I've seen more than one red/orange tree that appears
to be on fire when the early morning sun hits it.
Enjoy these days before winter's harsh cold arrives!
